The Lycoming County Historical Society has announced the theme of the 2018 lecture series. The lectures will explore the era of World War I.
Talks will be varied and interesting and will include a discussion of local quilts with the embroidered names of soldiers and nurses from the area; music by George Gershwin and Irving Berlin; and an appearance by ‘Black Jack’ Pershing as portrayed by David Shuey,
The lecture series events combine Coffee Hours (Thursday mornings, March through June, September through December) with Society Programs (Sunday afternoons, May through October).
The full schedule is still being developed. Watch for announcements on this site, as well as in the Society newsletter.
