The Lycoming County Historical Society will continue its 2017 Lecture Series on Thursday, April 13, at a Coffee Hour held at 10am in the Community Room of its Taber Museum.
The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society
will host a Society Program on Sunday, May 21 at 2pm in its Community Room. The guest speaker will be Don King, whose talk is titled Symbiosis: The Importance of Armstrong Township to Montoursville through the history of this whole valley.
The Lycoming County Genealogical Society May program will feature H. Jane Luther and Mary L. Sieminski speaking on “The Julia Quest: Searching for Julia C. Collins in Lycoming County and Beyond.” The program will be held in the Community Room of the Thomas T. Taber Museum on Saturday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. Refreshments will be available at 12:30 p.m.
TheTaber Museum will host a Society Program on Sunday, June 18 at 2pm in its Community Room. Matthew Dodd will present a history of the American Road through musical selections.
The Taber Museum will host a Society Program on Sunday, July 16 at 2pm in its Community Room. Guest lecturer Wilson Ferguson will present “Celestia: God’s Village in Sullivan County”.
The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will host a Society Program on Sunday, September 17 at 2pm in its Community Room. Mr. Gail Largey will be showing his documentary ”William B. Wilson: A Life’s Journey”, a film about "Billy” Wilson, a coal miner from Arnot-Blossburg and first U.S. Secretary of Labor.
The Taber Museum will continue its 2017 Lecture Series on Thursday, September 14, at a Coffee Hour held at 10am, focusing on the history of Lewis Township (which includes Trout Run and the village of Bodines) by Bea Remick.
This year’s Victorian Christmas events offer an educational focus on the Underground Railroad including a lecture by Karen L. Frock at the Taber Museum on November 18th at 6:00 PM.

The LCHS will continue its 2017 Lecture Series on Thursday, November 9, at a Coffee Hour held at 10 a.m. in the Community Room of its Taber Museum, with guest speakers David Richards and Matthew Stackhouse talk about their recent publication From a Bygone Era: Views of the Muncy Valley Then & Now.

The Taber Museum has announced the theme of its Holiday exhibit: Honey, I shrunk the Rooms at the Taber: Miniature Room Settings. The exhibit will feature ninety miniature room settings designed by Becky Bird.
