Will Huffman Toy Train Expo

The weekend before Thanksgiving, 2018, saw the annual Will Huffman Toy Train Expo stop at the Taber Museum. The Expo, along with the 20th edition of Williamsport's Victorian Christmas, brought hoards of families into the Museum.Gary Parks as Scrooge

The Expo is named in memory of its late founder, Will Huffman, a retired 4th grade school teacher. William Huffman started the expo 27 years ago. After his death in 2011, Will's sons Bruce and Eric have continued to coordinate the event. Bruce Huffman currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Museum.

This year, eight toy train enthusiasts set up layouts in the Museum's community room. The main display was at Park Place and the Transportation Museum was also included in the Expo.

More than 1600 visitors saw the layouts at all the venues, with nearly 1100 folks viewing the layouts at the Museum.

Those visiting the Expo probably ran into that miserable miser Scrooge, convincingly played by our own Museum Director, Gary Parks. Quite a good likeness!
